Information we collect
Information you send us
When you use the contact form, we collect your name and email address. We also collect the message you write and the business name if you choose to add one. We use this information to reply to you and to scope the project you describe.
The form includes a hidden field that only automated bots fill in. When that field triggers, we discard the message and record the browser identifier in our server logs to track spam.
Information collected automatically
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. It does not set cookies. It identifies a visit with a hash that resets every day and never tracks you across other websites. It collects:
- The pages you view and the page that referred you
- Your country and region, derived from your IP address
- Your device type, browser, and operating system
Vercel Web Analytics records nothing until you accept analytics in the banner shown on your first visit.
We also use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and to measure how they move through the Site. Google Analytics 4 processes your IP address to estimate your location and does not store it. Google describes its processing at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Google Analytics does not load unless you accept analytics in the consent banner.
Server logs
Vercel hosts the Site. Like most hosting providers, Vercel keeps short-lived server logs that include IP addresses and requested pages. Vercel uses these logs for security and reliability.
Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. The Site itself sets no cookies. It stores one entry in your browser’s local storage that remembers your analytics choice so we do not ask again.
Google Analytics sets cookies only after you accept analytics. If you decline later, we remove the Google Analytics cookies the Site set.
You can change your choice at any time with the link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies does not prevent you from browsing the Site.
How we use information
We use the information you send us to answer your inquiry and to follow up about a project. We use analytics data to learn which pages visitors read and to improve the Site. We do not use your information for advertising.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We work with a small number of service providers that process information on our behalf:
- Vercel hosts the Site and provides Vercel Web Analytics.
- Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox. Resend processes your message only to transmit it to us.
- Google processes analytics data on our behalf through Google Analytics.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions arrive in our email inbox. We keep them only as long as we need to respond to you and to follow up on your inquiry. You may ask us to delete your messages at any time. Vercel Web Analytics keeps aggregated data according to our plan settings. Google Analytics deletes event data automatically after the retention period we set in our analytics settings.
Legal bases
Where laws such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent for analytics. We collect analytics data only after you accept it in the consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Steps prior to a contract for information you send through the contact form or by email. We use it to respond to your inquiry.
International visitors
We operate the Site from College Station, Texas, in the United States. We process and store the information we collect in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Our service providers maintain their own safeguards for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Receive your information in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you live in California, these rights correspond to those in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell or share personal information as that law defines it. Residents of Texas and other U.S. states with privacy laws may have similar rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. We respond within the time the law requires. We never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, including client platforms we built and our profiles on GitHub and LinkedIn. Those sites follow their own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review their policies.
Children
We do not direct the Site at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We post changes on this page with a new effective date.
